It depends on the field of the job you are interesting in ; but both are valuable and gibe you a chance to get job, try to start by Cisco certificates , it's easy ..
It is based on your interest of field, CISCO focus on Networking and Microsoft focus on Servers. Whatever the services or applications going to comes under Servers. But network is basic which may comes under CISCO, Brocade, Juniper, Extreme etc.,
Both of them are good. Try to start by CCNA then goto MCSE.
