When it comes to planning successful projects, what kind of questions should I be asking myself?

What i want from this project and how can I achieve it, I think this is the simple basic question

Before starting we should do SWOT analysis which gives us clear picture in going ahead about the project..

First identify the strengths of the product this gives motivation to move forward..

Second identify the opportunities where we can market & How we can market the product and reach the target customers..

Try to over come the weaknesses and threats through proper planning & coordination along with team..

"Start with an End" therefore start asking yourself and your project stakeholders to list out "what is the success criteria of this project".... 

How to make strategic planning implementation work?

1. Targets

2. Tools and materials required

3. Knowledge of the strengths and weaknesses

4. Address weaknesses and strengths

5. Selecting qualified people to implement the plan  

if you have the above you may implementing the work on time without delay. 

three things need to keep in mind always for any project implementation..

 

1) keeping the basic requirement of the project in mind define the deliverable of a Project manager.

2) what are the timelines defined to complete the project.

3) what will be the overall cost of the project from start to end.

 

 

First: Project period ( how fast does the client need this project to be completed?

Second are: available resources in terms of capital, data, manpower, 

Third  is Stages: from initial study  to execution

Fourth is : Specify milestones & critical paths

Planning for Successful project requires one to be experienced and understand the project scope. The Project Management methodology applied needs to be checked if it fits project requirements. Stakeholder influence plays very important role in successful execution of the projects, so understanding this form the essence in planning.  

Have I Locked the Project Scope? Locking the project scope is the most important task because it will create barrier to scope leakage and seapages. Once you have locked the scope than all you need to do is make Project management plan and keep following it.

Otherwise you will keep putting your efforts for project success and project requirement will keep moving ahead.

Vision, Target, Cost in terms of time, money and resources and ultimate goal. 

Does the plan meet the project stated objectives? Has the plan covered all milestones or project stages? Has the plan prepared you for the unexpected? Has the plan been within time and budget limits? Do you actually have the needed resources for the project and it is plan? Has the plan been communicated to all the team?

I will start asking the following: - what is the objective of this project? - what is my scope ? - what do i need to achive this project successfully? - what is the time fram to complete this project? - what do i need to communicate to my stakeholders & when?
