Being a perfectionist at work, is it accepted or not?

There is nothing wrong with having high expectations.
I would suggest just to modify the attitude and be flexible with others...
in order to reach that "perfect" result.
In the end, the goal is reached together with the people around you, so if you are a real perfectionist, you need to find a way how to do that job with others too...
Its good to be dedicated to work, but never neglect people around you. 
The best therapy here, in my opinion, is experience.

But there is the nearest to perfection الكمال لايوجد وخاصة بما يتعلق بالاشياء التي تعتمد على العلم ...
طالما ان العقول تعمل والعجلة تدور هناك دائماً ماهو جديد .
وهناك دائما ماهو أكثر فعالية.
يوجد ما هو أكثر تطوراً ...
ولاكن لا يوجد الكمال .
الان فكرة الكمال والتوقف عن التطوير بحدذاتها فكرة سلبية خطيرة جداً ...
لان الكمال هو نسبي ليس له اي مقياس .
ولو ان طرح سابقاً هذا المصطلح وتم التسليم به ...
لما وصل العلماء اليوم الى المريخ حتماً.
الان من باب المنطق ...يعتبر الكمال هو الوصول الى المريخ بالامكانيات المتاحة ...
لكن الان يعملون على الطموح التالي وهو ارسال اناس الى المريخ .
مع العلم انه من الناحية المنطقية وفق الامكانيات الحالية مستحيل ...
ولكن العجلة تدور من كان يصدق ان تتواصل فيما بيننا بهذه الطريقة قبل200 عام

Indeed and such candidates progress rapidly but being perfectionist requires experienced and quick result oriented individual and this not commonly available. We need to strive for the best within available resource and practicing such norm will lead us as perfectionist but do remember, don't accept everyone, every time as perfect as yours.

Great question!. Perfectionists or in other words people who take great satisfaction in doing their work thoroughly are a sought after commodity and invalueable in the workplace.  What isn't are people who expect everyone else to be the same.

Everyone of us is different and have different standards, expectations, wants and needs.  If you cannot accept this then you need to take the 'therepy'

I think you could change very quickly and be accepted by others by doing the little things, being pleasent saying hello and goodbye, asking others there advice on things, smiling and being respectful to everyone.    Good luck

you just need to learn how to interact with your colleages, be more friendly with them and lose the attitude, but also make sure that your work is produced by the same quality

and finally dont ask any one to do as you do, be youreslf and also let every one be himself

It is a case to case basis.
Being a perfectionist is acceptable but sometimes it is an annoyance.
I've felt that way also but as time goes I've learned to adjust.
It is a matter of expectation but we can find ourselves to others.
Every person has its own unique way of living.
All we have to do is to do our task but don't expect others to do same thing.

In reality, perfectionism has both positive and negative impacts.

This is interesting topic.
To some extent it is acceptable.
A person should be dedicated to his/her work.
However, this does not mean that person should be pushy.
This is where a problem starts or in other words acting as cocky.
So I like the word but does not completely follow it.
The term work does not mean that you stick to the machine next to you and hence do not give a damn about your colleagues.
This is where things go messy.

well i dont think being a perfectionist or workaholic is something really bad but i think you should try to mix up with people as well....i dnt ask you to go against your nature (perfectionism at work) but do try to have some mini -conversation with your colleagues while making tea, while going out for lunch or while passing in front of some colleague.it would give them an impression that you are perfectionist as well as jolly and friendly ..hope it would work

In Fact this is not my preferred style, I'm persistent, and that my comfort zone.

in teams we often look for team members of all demographics,psycographics,and disciplines.

we look for diversity and sure among them are perfectionist.

diversity is key.
