It helps know that kind/type of students/pupils you are dealing with. it also helps you to understand the students/pupils in their academics so as to assist them where possible.

In the process of effective learning, Psychology is very detrimental if it is well applied.The teaching and learning can be improved through the understanding of the behaviors that are expected as the learning outcome. Through the use of advanced modern psychology, teachers can evaluate and monitor performance and acquisition of all the skills.

Teaching ESL or EFL effectively involves inculcating language skills ( listening , speaking , reading and writing ) at habit levels. This , undoubtedly , involves psychology.
