In your opinion what's redundant task?

A dismissal of an employee from work for being no longer necessary due to more people repeating the same task.

: repeating something else and therefore unnecessary —used to describe part of a machine, system, etc., that has the same function as another part and that exists so that the entire machine, system, etc., will not fail if the main part fails : dismissed from a job because you are no longer needed

A task performed on behalf of a project but does not serve a meaningful purpose at any of the stages of the project and also does not form part of the project is a redundant task.

A task which is done repetitively and increase the costs and consumes time of employees and machines participating in accomplishing the task. This might happen due to the reason that process improvement is not taken as some activities or tasks that might be finalized in a single unit may repeated in another one.
