dear sameer, if you're interested in finance and economics and can't seem to make up your mind on what, then consider doing a joint phd (in finance and economics). if your question is towards, what the better choice would be, then it honestly depends on what you're looking for. specialisation or broadness. finance is a more specialised field whereas economics is broader. so truly the choice remains fuzzy until you come to that point, do i want to go into taxation and/or auditing, or do i want to go into policy?

Thanks for asking your question. In my opn Phd is not an easy task but if you are able to do so, then my interest in Economic because economics is very vast feild as compare to finance, in other words finance is a part of economics. Its very easy for choosing topics in economics for further research but also very defficult for it. the point is why i preferred economics for phd because in current situation every country or globally we are facing marco problems. So best of luck .
