Salesforce is hot in the market these days.

But if you try to start learning process I will recommend to have a look on OOPS concepts.

SalesForce is not a technlogy or a programming tool. It's a CRM built with an open developers API that allows developers to build useful components for the product.

 

Like you could choose whether you want to build components for the Web or the Mobile platform using their API. But before you use their API you need to be comfortable with at least one programming language, that could be Java.

 

Java is known to be at the core of SalesForce development much like LinkedIn and others. So, go on and learn Java.
