The procedure for calculating size of conductor is as follows: Compute the current from respective voltage, impedance and power factor i.e I=P/(v*p.f) then determine the ambient temperature of the place where cable is to be used.
See the table where you will find the size for respective current, and ambient temperature.
The table is provided by each cable manufacturing company.

to calculate conductor area first of all u  have to calculate the current density

I (line)= P(Watt)/1.73 * V (line) * P.F.
then go to cable cross sectional area table to choose the cross section area according to resultant current you will take some factors according to cable condition (Soil factor, Grouping factor,,etc)

Cross section(Q) =1.73*L(LENGTH M)*P.F/E(VOLTAGE DROP)*380 If it cupper multiply *1/56 if it almunium multiply*1/35 if it single phase change380 by220 V

Divide the voltage running through the cable by your target current.
If, for instance,120 volts will act on the cable, and you want30 amps to run through it:120 /30 =4.

p=1.73* v*i*p.f

i=p/(v*p.f*1.73)

c.s.a=i/الكثافه التياريه للموصل

c.s.a=i/3
