Troubleshooting Performance Issues:

  Listed below are the possible troubleshooting steps that can be performed to improve Backup Exec performance.  Skip ahead to the scenario of interest.  The scenarios are:
  • Local Backup to Disk.
  • Remote Backup to Disk.
  • Local Backup to Tape.
  • Remote Backup to Tape. 
Note:  For both Local and Remote Backup to Disk, run the Backup to Disk Test Tool (B2DTest.Exe) prior to performing the steps below, to confirm the device will function properly with Backup Exec.  www.symantec.com/docs/TECH7
