Susan wold ideally be required to play a liaison role, she would have to be in close contact with David who is the Project manger with the IT department to ensure that the new E-commerce effort would be completed within the fixed time line and its characteristics are built in a way that would best meet the needs of its consumers , she would also have to ensure that the Marketing Team clearly understands the various features and advantages of this New E-commerce effort and its unique selling propositions as compared to its competitors in order to formulate the most effective Marketing Mix and advertising strategies within the specified budget.
Susan should also ensure that the product is launched in the Market at the pre decided time after necessary pre launch advertising activities and awareness campaigns have been launched.
After the Ecommerce effort has been launched, Susan being the General Manager should also ensure that the Business Development team are meeting their assigned targets and are also focusing on acquiring new potential customers. This would give Susan an Idea of the current revenue the company is receiving and could also help in forecasting the profits the company could receive in the future.
