What's the use of a pollution pump in an automobile?

The air and fuel mixture inside the cylinder of the engine.then the piston will copress and cant make a fire. After the fire cant cause carbor gas then the engine relies into the exhaust manifold.

The air pollution pump is only for emissions. It's job is to bring air into the exhuast to get the catalytic up to temp faster.

Secondary air injection (commonly known as air injection, or colloquially smog pump) is a vehicle emissions control strategy introduced in1966, wherein fresh air is injected into the exhaust stream to allow for a fuller combustion of exhaust gases.
