                                       How to become a successful leader

 

For those managers\\leaders whom think that the management and leadership means orders , commands , plans ,and meeting , I would like to share some of useful ideas which will help you to lead, direct , monitor and evaluate your team in success ways :

 

- Share the organization objectives, goals, plans with your crew.

 

- Do not divide your crew into groups; work with them as one team one spirit.

 

- Initiative, Do not forget them; always try to ask about their personal problems, hobbies, B- days even they did not do this with you.  

 

- Cinema, coffee shops, restaurants will be your alternative places, after \\ during       working hours, to let them feel they are your favorite.

 

- If there are some of them spend more time after working hours in the office stay   with them and try to assist.

 

- If there is someone inside your team lazy, not productive and inactive, try to             neglect\\resign him\\her especially when you have an active team, that which will affect on them and on their performance positively , and let them feel there is someone appreciate their efforts .

 

- Always be flexible with them, do not give them only orders , try to explain      ,negotiate , why you made this decision\\s and what the benefits behind that on them first and on the organization second .

 

- Motivate them by published letter of thanks for one or more of them on company board, commissions, appreciation certificate   for reasonable achievements, or those who hit the target or gain more profit for the company.

 

-Training, Sessions come from your experience, always will be useful and will encourage them to do more. It makes a huge difference when they find their manager give them training or tell them stories from his\\her past experience. Than they take it from external source.

 

- Publish and share organizational ethics between them. That will help to achieve more; they have to believe in what you believe.

 

- Try to learn your crew the organization culture and skills. They have to act as you act.

 

- Do not use open-end solutions, and always try to solve the problems with\\between your team.

 

- Be a good listener. Sometimes your team can not deliver their thoughts, ideas, and words, in easily way due to communication skills or they are shy, anyways listen more, argue with them the thoughts from multiple sides.

 

- It would prefer to put your own desk in every department, that’s mean share your sitting (desk) with them and do not assign room for you alone, that will comfort them, and will break the ice wall between you. In the meanwhile that will help you to Direct, evaluate, monitoring them easily.

 

- When you decide to enter new system for your company (Sales, HR, Marketing, Financial, and Production), gather them and explain the three (W):

*Why: we need this new system.

*When: we will use this system.

*Where: we will use this system (in which department).

This will avoid us the conflict and resistance, in the time when they know why we use the new system and when we will sue it and in which department they will help you to setup it out and implement its steps.

 

- When you decide to downsize the cost and reduce the number of salaries, gather them, let them know why you want to make this decision, and let them create the way to resign the employees, for sure you will not let them resign anyone but get their point of view and opinions, start with supervisors and team leaders to nominate inactive employees, unproductive persons who will not affect on your daily action. And avoid taking the decision alone, which will create conflict and unstable work environment.

 

- When you decide to take a leave, select one of your assistant with authorities to lead the ship until you return, but he\\she should eligible to do so , and in the same time acceptable from colleagues , has the same view in leadership , and very important to learn him\\her to build not ruin. You can make it rotation basis every leave one of your team, that will motivate them and make them stronger with more ability to make strategic decisions.

 

- When you decide to grow the salaries do it for all, or do not do anything, same thing for commissions, especially when your company specialty (productive) which mean that gain profit at the end of month.

 

- Do not force them to not use social media in case the do their jobs well and accomplish their missions , let them use face book , you tube ,… and watch them closely .

You should understand how you team members work so to put each person on a task, he or she can do as good as he or she can in a balance quality-time. Then, depends on country and mentality, you can become closer by doing sometimes simple or the most boring job, to show with you example that you are good with everything. This works good. Sometimes True leader not on the top of other, but on the same way.
