there are two aspects; the contribution of the credit card as a means of payment or the contribution as as a means of easily accessible credit. as a means of payment, it's clear that the credit card has made it a lot easier to transact business because of the convenience of the electronic payment platforms. it has also led to reduced thefts. however with the ease of payment comes impulsive buying with it's range of hiccups. so depending on what drift you want the influences to take, your conclusion will be based on your number of pros and cons.
