I assume both are same role.  The main role is assist the Senior/Chief accountant by way of entering data of day to day transactions of the concern, its reconciliation etc.  The responsibilities of Assistant accountant or Accounts assistant is usually deciding by the management of the firm.

I hope both profile almost same;

i.e. Assisting to a Accountant, Senior Accountant or Chief accountant

simply you're not a decision maker in Accounting entries/ adjustments/ transactions, you need supervisor's guidance is required in performing any task.
