It  is important if the point of the thesis is adapted to your work  but I think a better way is to go for Mba in order to handle more non technical parts and to allow you  for ffurther promotion

 A Master in Engineering is for academical reasons for industry positions it will only add to your profile, but if you are welling to studies, you can go for Master in MIS or MBA in Managementoror  Finance. 

If you are welling to continue your studies and eventually do a PhD go for it.
otherwise don't do it in engineering and do it in management or finance such as MBA.

Master degree will help in the education sector. But in the field you will need more experience on the field. Doing the project managment will help you alot. 

i do not that will give you more and it depend what you whant. I think if you want to take any Masster you have to take it in managment side
