Why are so many people content with just earning a salary and working 8-6 their entire life?

Many people are contented with just earn salary and work8 -6 entire lives, for these reasons :

1 - Lack of awareness of the importance of time.

2 - Lack of knowledge of planning the future.

3 - Absence of the concept of multi jobs caused buried the idea and principle of "part-time work" or overtime.

     Many of people have only basic job of single-shift. They are not thinking of getting a partial job even minor for hours a day.

In sharp contrast, in the West is rare to find a student or employee at the university at the beginning of his life working in one post. This is important not only to stimulate the mental side, but an increase in income and access to additional amount helps a person to manage the affairs of his life.

I do not believe the statement is completely true. Yes some people may feel satisfied with the salary they get, but a common fact is that everyone wants to see himself successful and capable of making a change.

Anyhow, why not feel happy and content if I can work for only6-8 hours a day and get a sufficient pay to continue my life?

Why don't more people want to get rich

OR

try  to make a bigger impact that can change the world?

Too many of us say we are making an impact doing the things no one sees.

But I find it very hard to believe we wake up each day saying "Wow I'm making an impact."

IT  IS THE WAY WE HAVE BEEN BROUGHT UP.

IT IS VERY TRUE FOR PEOPLE IN THE GOVT SECTOR IS S ASIA. After graduation the aim is to gain a Govt job through compitative exams. Then for the next30 years and for the rest of the life u are safe as old age pension is guaranteed by Govt. There is no incentive to give ur best performance as promotion is based on seniority.

It is very diffucult situation when people in the dynamic private sector have to interact with them. No one has ever told them justify ur salary. It is due to  such frustration many  entrepreneurs and people with target oriented lifestyle land in the Gulf region from India , Pakistan , Bangladesh & Srilanka. They may not be highly educated but  willing to work hard. And when they return home they become role models as they have earned10 times more than the secure10Am-5PM secure Government job owners.

Depends on the work environment is the path identifies the employee to work on a long or short, thought to be a physical goal first-class or work so this theory vary depending on each company's environment and way of dealing with others

They are not ready to take Risk and try something new.

I think Mr.bassam agree with a good answer.

May be just financial matters to start  their own business, or afraid not to have the financial stability which the office 8-6 can sometimes provide. 

Most of people of this category are less ambitious

Being  a Muslim, we have been taught & groomed that we will receive what has been written in our fate. But yes, we need to work hard and utilize the available resources to get out hare in just and right manner. The more Thankful we are, more content and satisfied  we would be!
