5S program focuses on having visual order, organization, cleanliness and standardization.

5S simplifies and organizes your work environment, reduces waste and non-value activity while improving quality efficiency and safety. And a well organized workplace motivates people. 

The program is called5S, since all steps start with an "S".

   5S uses five Japanese disciplines

     1)Seiri(Sort)

     2)Seiton(Set)

     3)Seiso(Shine)

     4)Seiketsu (Standardization)

     5)Shitsuke (Sustain)

These five techniques are helpful in organizing workplace day to day.

The Five S program focuses on having visual order, organization, cleanliness and standardization. The results you can expect from a Five S program are: improved profitability, efficiency, service and safety.

5S is the name of a workplace organization method that uses a list of five Japanese words: seiri, seiton, seiso, seiketsu, and shitsuke.
