If we have 3 phase wires, each wire has 110volts, then how we will run a 220volt air conditioner on it? if 10 split AC then how to distribute current?

This is a simple question for those who have knowledge about three phase, basics of current and distribution.

Well brothers, all of you are correct in your own view, but the answer of this question is different, each wire has110volts, if you want to get220volts then you will not need to add any kind of transformer, you will just simply select one wire as AC current and other as Neutral, it means that2 wires will give220volts, you will not join them each other, but you will treat other wire as neutral. When you are going to run Air conditioners then you will have to distribute the load, because without distributing the load, you will see one wire heatup and then the breaker will trip automatically, you will not be able to understand what's going on, So, my question includes two things, one is making220v and distribution of current.

I know that all of you will start thinking that where it will be used. This thing will come into your work when you are working with110v, especially in gulf countries, you will not see220v in one wire. So, whenever you are going to do jobs in middle east or gulf countries, then keep this thing in your mind. I hope this thing will help you alot.

I think we won't be able to get220 V directly from aforementioned network. Connecting between two phases or lines we will only get190 V , the most probable the AC equipment won't work or probably misbehave. As other answers may one good solution would be to introduce a transformer to rise110 V up to127 V and make possible the connection between phases and get the desired220 V also.

Its simple by using step up transformer110V to220 V

instead of3 wires having110 volts we using2 wires of110 volts and run the ac unit

and with the help of power substation we run  the10 a/c split units

Sir I'm sorry because already the question is badly put: in a resaeu three phase we speak of voltage between phase never in a wire. And if you have 110v between phase you will not have 220v (we say now 230v new international standard) You need to understand the following course in a 3phase and neutral network if you have 660v between 2ph you will get 380v / 400v a phase and the neutral if between 2phase 400v you will have 230v a phase and the neutral if between 2 ph 230v you will get 110v 1ph and neutral. You can create a neutral potential with a "star" coupling.

In order to run aV AC on phase (R,Y,B) simply choose any2 colored phases and use it as phase and neutral for the AC. It will supplyV for the machine.

However if you wish to run ACs on it, the load should be balanced at maximum on all phases. In above case you have3 possibilities

Red + Yellow

Red + Blue

Yellow + Blue

Use3 ACs on any two of above combinations and4 ACs on the last combination. This is the best possible balanced distribution for the given parameters

If we have 3 phase wires, each wire has 110volts, then the 2 wires contans 110 volts and the thired wire give the returen path of supply.

the current distribution for 10 split ac , the supply current of that area where is located that instalation

connect the a/c unit using two 110vac connection and if there 10 split a/c unit to be installed make sure to connect the wires balance not to overload the distribution line.

We need  supply of 3 phase 220volts, divide those 10 AC into 3, so its like this  3 ac from yellow,  3 ac from blue and 4 ac fom red all those colors will be connected to supply each line of AC and other lines is black and ground in order to give power to those 10 AC, they are all connected in one main circuit breaker and then 10 circuit breaker for each AC... Thats it

used all of them but make sure you check one by one there is hot and neutral, according to our questioner have tree phase wirev each wire, you take only two wire and used circuit breaker for one each of unit.
