The Levels tool is an advanced tool to modify Brightness/Contrast of an image, it works by editing Black, White and Mid Tone sliders, so that you can manually get to the amount of contrast you want with an appropriate brightness. It also shows a fading histogram to show the user how the image B/W amounts are acting. Which helps someone with less experience in image editing know what to adjust.
