Is it time to shift to environmental friendly automobiles yet? If so, what would be the tech you would choose?

Nissan leaf or would be Toyota Prius if better cars available and money will surely look at them as well

I think we should start using the hybrids.
Electric cars have a long way to go to be as efficient to operate in our daily usage.
