What is with Maya application, do you think its great?

maya is comfortable to use, every tool in separate menus

of course! according to my knowledge MAYA is best application for all3D projects 

Autodesk Maya is used in production of Movies, Games and Advertisement. Its main use has been in the Movie and Advertisement industry throughout the world. If you know about3D studio max, its basically the same thing with different cleaner (depend on the user) interface. You can use Maya to create any sort of3D content, from architectural visualization to and Hollywood movie level3D Asset.If you want to learn Maya and have no prior knowledge, it will be same or less harder than3D studio max. But you need to have some knowledge about3D and Photoshop tools.But before jumping into Maya you need to know what you want to do in3D? e.g.3D games,3D Motion graphics, or3D architectureal visualization. Ask another question that you want to do that in3D and I will try to guide you from my experience that on which software you should spend time to learn.
