The simple test is very similar to reviewing the success factors for any project.  Is the output enabling the delivery of the key benefits and therefore contributing to the success of the project.

 

Ensure that the Organisational Goals are identified and achieved in the IT Strategy and place each action and strategy under an organisational Goal.  This will ensure the alignment of IT with the Organisation and allow IT to facilitate the business to deliver its goals.
