My most important decision been to back my volunteers ... get their schedule and their hours right and all the awards there were in little to ... not always easy when you dealing with a government affiliated agency.

As a project manager and a professional, the decision that I took is that I always abide by code of ethics, deliver quality projects. I decided to lead and not manage; engage with professionals to learn and impact.
As an IT Manager,
1. I have trained all the IT Users and advised them what are the advantage and disadvantage of Specific IT infrastructure which they are using.
2. I have reduced the AMC Budget to50% by calling competitive quotations.
3. Upgraded the systems whenever it was required instead of installing the new one.
The best decision I made was to adopt/embrace an internal performance measurement/improvement system based on actual results vs expected/desired ones. The system depends on correct, accurate and honest assessment of reported/measured results with proper checking, verification and validation of the reported results (input), simply because even with the best system in place, garbage-in would only lead to garbage-out !
