I disagree, I think companies all across UAE don't take the role of the social media professional as a serious component of promotion and business development. A digital media or social media professional should be paid the same as a marketing professional. The model of low compensation should apple to freelancers working for agencies. But that is just my opinion.
I think the reason is that there are a lot of freelancers that will do the job as a part time with the minimum fees, because they already have their jobs and this will only be extra money
