C. A firm providing similar solution to a customer's needs.

Any person or entity which is a rival against another. In business, a company in the same industry or a similar industry which offers a similar product or service. The presence of one or more competitors can reduce the prices of goods and services as the companies attempt to gain a larger market share. Competition also requires companies to become more efficient in order to reduce costs. Fast-food restaurants McDonald's and Burger King are competitors, as are Coca-Cola and Pepsi, and Wal-Mart and Target.

A firm which is trying to snatch the customers away from us

Sidvin Shetty

I would like to differ but with Justification. According to me it's All the options

We consider the operating companies in the first place as "Competitors" when or if they are involved in the same or similar kinds of manufacturing or distribution directly or indirectly (Indirectly meaning optional or alternative products) thus, answer A is correct.

When we are competing between each other (either directly or indirectly) & if our business & market share is growing then it also means "We are taking somebody else's customer or directly "snatching competitor customers"; Thus answer B is correct (It could be intentional or unintentional).

As mentioned, we consider someone a competitor only when we sell or manufacture or distribute the same, similar or alternative products. Thus, answer C is also correct.

Thus, it All the Options... :-)

All of them are by sure competitors from the most soft one option C

to the most dangerous one option B.

Mukesh Varadhan
by Mukesh Varadhan , Administration Manager , M/s. Triton Health Care

Option "B' and the next choice will be 'C'. Option"A' is not in the race as the firm selling to the same customers may be different products not identical to our products.
