Wholesale banking is banking services between merchant banks and other financial institutions.It deals with larger institutions, where as retail banking would focus more on the individual or smaller business. Some services might include currency conversion, working capital financing and large trade transactions
This type of banking will provide services to other banks or large corporations. Some retail banking covers business transactions but not in the same scale as wholesale banking. think of it like the discount superstore that deals in such large amounts that they can offer special prices or reduced fees, on a per dollar basis

The non performing loan accounts are classified accounts for non payment of due installments plus interest over due for90 days and above.
A loan account which overdue past90 days and the bank have made efforts to do recovery and its on record
A Non-performing asset (N PA) is defined as a credit facility in respect of which the interest and/or installment of principal has remained ‘past due’ for a specified period of time.
If installment and mark up not paid by the borrower in a stipulated period the loan became non-performing ans classified as Loss.
