Turkey is the world biggest importer of Scrap. After Turkey there is South Korea, China, Germany, India, Taiwan and Italy are also in the good Importer of Scrap.

Turkey remains world's top steel scrap importer

Global: With an increase to22.4 million tonnes in2012 (+4.5% compared to2011), Turkey reinforced its position as the world's leading importer of steel scrap. The imports of two other large steel-producing countries - India and the Republic of Korea - are also on the increase, according to latest figures from the Bureau of International Recycling (BIR).
