It enriches the society with fulfillment of needs.

1) Marketing helps to achieve, maintain and raise the standard of living of the society

4) Marketing helps to maintain economic stability and development

5) Marketing in connecting link between the consumer and the producer

6) Marketing helps in creation of utilities

Fully agreed with experts, just thought of adding few more:-

1. Marketing created awareness of the product usage (For Ex: The damage can cause by 'ammonia' in a hair-dye is well reached the consumer b'cos of marketing).

2. Even for political leaders 'marketing' (by medias) is required to reach the people.

3. Heavy marketing is required even to the best movies.

Marketing is not confined to only products. It has become part and parcel of every individual in all aspects of our life. Surely, it has become important to the society. 

Marketing is a powerful tool an can be used for much more than just advertising a product or service. Tapal a national tea brand ensures its advertises values with the tea itself in every ad campaign which make it so much more special than other tea brands in Pakistan.

Marketing process bring new variety of useful and quality goods to consumers. This raises the standard of living. Better marketing gives room for mass production. Under mass production, cost of production will be low and hence price of the article will be low, since price is low people can buy more goods for their money. This will result in a higher standard of living.

In addition to the points mentioned above, I would like to add:

- Creating a competitive environment that helps lower product prices

- Developing products that satisfy needs, including products that enhance society’s quality of life - Developing product distribution systems that offer access to products to a large number of customers and many geographic regions - Building demand for products that require organizations to expand their labor force - Offering techniques that have the ability to convey messages that change societal behavior in a positive way (e.g., anti-smoking advertising)

Would like to add that marketing nowadays is not only important to society, but it is leading the society and directing them to what to like and what to not, what is important and what not, what habits to keep and to throw behind, what or who are the bad and what or who are the good, who are the leaders, who to follow as a model, what to wear, what to listen, what to eat,.....

Marketing is the power of Media, firms' needs to access and convince customers and customers director that guides them to whom they should pay or follow.
