Of course we need to be creative.
Its good to be creative when you are finding smarter ways of doing things, unique ways. In certain disciplines of life, you are compelled to follow suite when you want recognition for your compliance. for example, if you want to attain or retain your ISO standards, i.e. ISO21500, you follow book. but if you are doing something new, you will always have to think outside of the box or within the prescribed or sequenced methods you can be as creative as you can.
The book you are going to follow is also somebody's creativity, so why not go for new ways if Time and resources are in abundance.
The book is perfect but on points depends on your experience and specific Project demands. So always be creative as well, keep thinking and learning!
