To be perfectly honest, if you're hardworking and intelligent enough to go through AP, then the material on any state test should seem rather easy. State standardized tests are generally designed to assess students to get an idea of how well (or bad) the state's education is doing. Colleges pretty much assume that you're capable of passing state tests like that (but no, they don't really look at stuff like that, unless you've failed it and had to take remedial classes), otherwise you shouldn't be taking AP. So, *technically*, to the state and possibly your school, the state test is more important. To you and colleges, AP is more important. However, take all advice with a grain of salt, and do what you believe is better.
