From complications wise BOTH:

* affect eyes + retinopathy.

* affect blood vessels

* kidneys= nephropathy.

* cardiac problems.

Diabetes affects the arteries lead to develop atherosclerosis (narrowing of the arteries) which could cause high blood pleasure and if it is not treated may get worst to blood vessel damage, stroke, heart failure and also heart attack or kidney failure. Thus, having diabetes will increases your risk of developing high blood pressure and also other cardiovascular problems.
