Dear Sir, = I would like to thank you for this important question, and I can share you some useful methods - I already know - to broadcast your PowerPoint presentations, with embedded videos, and I found other techniques may be helpful in this purpose: =1= You can insert video to your slides from social media websites such as YouTube, Shared, and more.
Each website generally provides an embed code that allows you to link to the video from your presentation.
In your browser, go to the web site that contains the video that you want to link to, such as YouTube or hulu.
== On the web site, locate the video, and then locate and copy the Embed code.
Click Video from Web Site.
In the Video from Web Site dialog box, paste the embed code, and then click Insert.
For a media-rich slideshow, you may decide to display some movie or sound files that you can play during your presentation.
You must first have the movie or sound file saved on your computer.
=2= Turning your presentation into a video is a new way to distribute and deliver it.
When you want to give a high- fidelity version of your presentation to colleagues or customers (either as an email attachment, published to the web, on a CD or DVD), save it as a video file == First, you have to Upgrade to PowerPoint2000, and then try using the "Presentation Broadcasting" feature.
You can control the size of multimedia file and the quality of your video.
Create video using the contents of your presentation.
=3= To insert a CD audio track on a slide, you don't need to insert the CD in the CD-ROM drive for this procedure.
You'll need PowerPoint97 (or higher) and there is a bit of a trick to it.
Display the slide you want to add a CD audio track to.
On the Insert menu, point to Movies and Sounds and then click Play CD Audio Track.
Select the track and timing options you want, and then click OK.
A CD icon appears on the slide.
== A message is displayed.
If you want the CD to play automatically when you move to the slide, click YES.
If you want the CD to play only when you click the CD icon during a slide show, click NO.
To preview the music in Normal view, double-click the CD icon.
=4= To insert a video on a slide, display the slide you want to add the video to.
On the Insert menu, point to Movies and Sounds.
To insert a video from a file location, click Movie from File, locate the folder that contains the video and then double-click the video you want.
== Preferably try to copy the video file to the same directory as your PowerPoint Presentation.
A message is displayed.
You can play the movie clip in similar to CD Audio track process.
== You can link to an external video or movie file from your Microsoft PowerPoint2010 presentation.
By linking your video, you can reduce the file size of your presentation.
To add a link to a video from your PowerPoint presentation, after you click on the Insert tab, in the Media group, click the arrow under Video.
Click Video from File, locate and click the file that you want to link to.
On the Insert button, click the down arrow, and then click Link to file =5= To broadcast your presentation, on the Slide Show tab, in the Start Slide Show group, click Broadcast Slide Show.
Under Choose a broadcast service, select the service that you want to use, and click Start Broadcast.
PowerPoint then creates a URL for your presentation.
To send the URL for your presentation to your audience, you can: send by email, then click Send in Email; or copy the link, then click Copy Link.
== When your audience receives the URL for the slide show, click Start Slide Show to begin your broadcast.
The audience follows your slide show in their browser while you present within PowerPoint2010.
After you finish presenting and are ready to end the broadcast, press ESC to exit Slide Show view and then click End Broadcast.
After you begin broadcasting a slide show, the Broadcast tab appears in the PowerPoint2010 ribbon.
== Before you broadcast your presentation, you have to consider: =a- Internet connection: You need to be connected to the Internet or have access to a broadcast site on a server with the Office Web Apps installed in order to use this feature.
=b- Supported browsers: The broadcast slide show feature can be viewed in the Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Safari for Mac browsers.
=c- File size limits: The service you use might impose a limit on the file size for broadcasted slide shows.
=d- Supported PowerPoint features Some PowerPoint features are changed when the slide show is broadcasted online like: Any transitions in your presentation are (become Fade transitions); playing a video/ audio as sounds or narration (will not be transmitted); and following a hyperlink in your presentation to a Web site (the only see is the last slide you showed in the original presentation).
==It is better to know that: -i- Sound and movie files, because of their large size, don't become an actual part of the presentation file - a link is formed to the file.
When the presentation is played, the program goes looking for the sound at the location described in the link.
To reduce the file size a bit, try saving the presentation with a new name.
This sometimes reduces the file size by as much as30%.
Find utilities in Internet which actually reduces the size by up to40%.
-ii- This works fine on the original creation machine, but as soon as you move things to another machine, if the links don't accurately describe where the files are, things fail to play.
PowerPoint will always look for the sound in the folder that contains the presentation, so this is the best place to put them.
-iii- Start off by putting the sounds or movies in the same folder as the presentation, and then inserting them into your presentation.
Remember to take those files with you as well as your presentation.
They don't travel with the presentation automatically! This will create an internal link with no real address: PowerPoint knows that the sound or movie is in the same folder as the presentation, and will look for it there regardless of what that folder's name is.
-iv- If the presentation file is too big, use online collaboration and exchange services.
In case you need to send the entire presentation as an attachment to your e-mail message, you may run into troubles if the presentation file is too big.
You will find plenty of tricks to compress any file, split it, or to anyhow reduce its size: --- You can find the traditional way to compress your presentation folder ( in accompany with video or sound clips), by creating a new WinRAR ZIP archive folder.
Click on the required folder and drag it to the new zip folder to insert in, you will get compressed folder of your presentation that can be easily mailed or shared.
NXPowerLite is software which compresses your presentations up to60% of the original size.
You can use it to compress your presentation and send it.
--- I would like to remind you here the versatility of an online free service like Yahoo groups, that allows you to upload files in a private Web area (each group has20 Mb of space available) and to be able to access them from anywhere in the world by anyone who you have elected to be a member of that private Web "group".
The good advantage of using Yahoo groups for online collaboration and file sharing, in general, is that you are not overloading your email box with heavy messages, but you can upload a file in the yahoo "Files" area and have your colleagues download it only if and when they need it.
--- Nevertheless, the limit of this "File" area is5 Mb per file, for a maximum of20 Mb.
A new service that you can use, for free, is called "SmartGroups".
It is similar in its features to Yahoogroups, and its file size limit is4 Mb for a maximum of20 Mb of total space (http://www.smartgroups.com; and you only need to register) --- WhaleMail, is another good service, though is not for free (http://www.whalemail.com).
In case4/5 Mb are still too small for you, and with yearly fees that vary from $75 to $750, you can purchase from100 Mb to1 Gb of space you can use to upload files and send email.
It works like Yahoogroups since you can upload files in a dedicated space in their service, send a notification to the recipients and then have the recipients download the file without file size restrictions.
Best Wishes, Lubna Al-Sharif

the powerpoint file and the video inserted and different attachment must be in the same folder, the video's path in the powerpoint must be the same.

You have two options:1.
You can save the PowerPoint presentation file and the video inserted and other attachments in the same folder and can be shared.
Or2.
When you finished preparing PowerPoint presentation inserting all pictures, documents and video file then save it as a packaged presentation by using the 'File>Save As> PowerPoint Show' and can be shared as a single file.

File, then Save and Send, then Package for CD.
This will insure that all associated files and documents are packaged in one folder for easy transport and mobility.
