For our field (accountancy based on calculation softwares) we need most of the time to open many softwares at the same time which use a lot of memory. and yes when u use a low processor (relatively low) and bigger memory it will be much better (It was my professional choice too).

In our days, I can tell you that an intel i3 with8Mo of RAM memory works much better than an i7 with only4Mo and it allows u to save money!.

According to the existant softwares (MS office2010+ accounting soft+internet..) you better use no less than8Mo of RAM to don't face any bugs.

I advice you also to use an AMD Processor (equivalent of i3) because AMD are better than intel in calculation treatments (as intel is powerful for graphic treatments) and it's a bit cheaper.

And using less than an i3 processor in current days is not advisebale at all: The RAM won't help you much.

Computer which is having low processor but has very high memory & hard disk space.

One With High Processor but low on memory or HDisk, Because you can easily change the HDisk to with a high memory/HDisk

I think its depends on what kind of work you want to took from this system, for example - if your system with low processor and high ram and high hard disk space, it is suitable for normal office application like word, excel, power point etc, because most of the time your data will stay in RAM, and it require less CPU usage.

but on other hand if you are using high end graphic applications this configuration will make this system very slow.

Low processor and high memory..
