what is main purpose of PHP it is from the best programing languages for server side web based languages and to understand what is the difference between server side and client side . it is just when you want to develop a website there is static website and there is dynamic website , when you make a website that fetch any information from the server like the price of any product or all the product with prices from200 pound to400 pound as an example that mean you must make a request to the server and the server get those information from the database ( mysql as an example ) then return that to you , because of that you want a programing language to make that so easy (e.g PHP or ASP.NET ) , the client side languages like jquery ( advanced javascript ) will make some codes for you to make make the website faster , as an example if you want to make sum of all your product you want to bay (i.e Order ) you can make that sum at your computer ( client side ) rather than make the server make that sum and return the result to you and that take time from traveling from server to your machine and the more important for developers that it take bandwidth
