What's the difference between communication skills and negotiation skills ?

communicatoin  skils mean method to efficiently talk with each other, and negotiation mean efficiently transact financial matters.

To communicate has to do with sending across an information verbally or non- verbally. To negotiate is to arrive at a particular goal based on a discussion between parties.

negotiation is a branch of communication. In negotiation, there should be win-win, win-lose, lose-lose, lose- with situations..We should be a good negotiator when we come to  salary, purchasing,  political science as well etc...

Communication is what we do/talk/act/chat/call/ email/twit/ etc..  (it counts85% of our daily time.)

Communication is actually the art of messaging: how to send your message to your counterpart and how receive his message.

 

Negotiation skills is the art of convincing your counterpart of your message.

Negotiation is a dialogue between two or more people or parties intended to reach an understanding and resolve points of difference  whereas communication skills is the  ability to convey information to another effectively and efficiently.

Communication skills represent those skills with which people use to communicate with others.

 

Negotiation skills is the process of discussion between two or more disputants, who seek to find a solution to a common problem, one that meets their needs and interests acceptably.

Communication skills means to effectively explain & deliver an intended message to the receiver whereas, negotiation skills is a way of communicating with someone or an organization enabling to succeed in selling an idea or a product to the interested party.

I thank u for the invitation. In customer service you need to communicate with the customer to know his real problem which is not obvios most of the time. A customer may say mygadget is a lemon but may really mean he is unable to acess the internet which may not be a computer issue and and be an issue with the router. A good communicator should be able to get to the root of the problem andresolve it

A negotiator has to be a good communicator but he should have other skills. He could be a trade union leader, salesman,politititian and should be able to convince the other party that his deal is the best.

Communication is about understand languages among tow perons in another hand negotiation is talk to convince someone like customers for example .

Communication skill will be added advantage to your personal attraction behalf of company or others but negotiation skill will be add advantage to finalize your deal with more profit...........
