QS is a good measure to estimate the performance of your ad and the cost you will pay, keeping low quality score keywords for sure will impact your campaign performance and increase the cost. BUT before your decide to remove low QS keywords check the following

1- what is the average search per month for this keywords?

2- Is this keyword highly related to your business?

If you have keyword with high search volume and high relevant to your business, so DON'T remove it, improve the QS as following

1- Adjust the Text ad copy to include this keyword in the title and description

2- try to use Phrase match or exact match

3- Ensure your landing page has the same keyword

Hope it is helping!!

And more over, we can also improve the QS as below,

Improving keyword expected CTR by increasing/decreasing bid amount

Re-activate any historical past performing adcopy in the adgroup to improve QS. Because Google quickly considers Historical account performance

Improving Keyword Relevancy by testing keyword in the adcopy headline and maintaining proper LP relevance also.

Restrict irrelevant traffic getting triggered for the exact keyword.

Thanks,

Pradeep
