Good customer service is about meeting the needs of the Customer.
Customers have an inherent expectation that they will be treated well, i.e.
in a friendly, kind, and respectful manner.
Answering their questions and being knowledgeable about the product or service is also a characteristic of good customer service.
If you deliver the product or service you promise, in the manner in which you promise, and help the customer with any difficulties or challenges they may have with the product or service, and the customer is ultimately happy with the experience, that's good customer service.
Good customer service is also about ensuring the customer is receiving the appropriate product or service they truly need and not selling them more product or service than they need.
On the other hand, Superior customer service includes all of the above as well as exceeding the expectations or needs of the customer.
It's about going the extra mile to please the Customer.
For example, in a recent at Supershops Receptions, I was greeted at the front desk with a gift bag which included some free snacks and drinks offered from that Supershop.
It was unexpected getting and made my day pleasant.

Good customer services had become now the traditional trend as to provide customers with their needs of products and services on timely manner with the expected quality and with extremely customer oriented behavior in terms of the appropriateness of the language, the warmth and the overall professional attitude.
Also being able to replicate that performance till it becomes a standard.
As for the outstanding or superior customer services it is to make the customer experience unforgettable.
You should be able to build a rapport with your customer and change her/him into a loyal one who promotes and sells for you company.
Another aspect is making her/his dreams come true in terms of the type of need or how it would be delivered to her/him.
It's really exceeding his expectations and going beyond the normal.
It's turning any of his feedbacks, comments and suggestions into actions (as far as they are applicable).
Be her/his advocate you will get her/him to be the company's advocate.
To be able to make this and sustain it, you have to have this belief that customers are the reason we go to work every day (our Raison d'etre) and that they are the beating heart for our business to survive and grow.
On the company level trainings conducted for team members should embrace such values and also different initiatives and programs should be designed to hammer on the same meaning.
It should also be tied to the performance of people.
