True - Sales Is Cutting the riped fruit into Profit - So a Sales man thinks of today .

But a Business Development men or women thinks of tomorrow because they are growing a seed -which inturn will give profits-it has to be nurtured well to give the best yield .

I think the audience here misunderstood the question and it has no personal nature by the way. And the answer is correct, one role has short term target and the other will both, short and long term target . However, the word thinker has been used in the wrong context, both has a brain to think but one role require immediate sales and less thinking and the other role require a lot of thinking in order to discover hidden opportunities.

I too agree with Mr. Ryan Connolly. The people who have commented above mistook the question. It has nothing to do with personal behavior. The answer is yes, I do agree. I take Mr. Connolly's these words to substantiate it - "one role requires immediate sales and less thinking and the other role require a lot of thinking in order to discover hidden opportunities".

No. I do not agree as both are persons with individual qualities and that has nothing to do with their career.
