Will you accept a position at a company that is below your expectations and experience?Is it a good start to reenter the work market and get noticed?

I feel there is no harm in accepting a lower position which still maintain a potential for growth.  In the World job market tight competition prevails for good positions and one cannot afford for a waiting period for next job for an unduly long interval.  If the company is good and the compensation offered is satisfactory to maintain the same standard of living as of before, a job position in the said manner can be opted for, if the company and industry is promising. 

if a person can not get what he/she looking for, there is no harm to accept such offer at certain condition. he/she can take a company up to the level he/she wish to be.

SOMETHING IS ALWAYS BETTER THEN NOTHING,,,,, NO HARM TO RESTART AGAIN & PROVE YOURSELF IN SHORTER PERIOD.........

I think it's better to accept such offer in this conditions than be unemployed for years.

My answer is yes! And my motivation lies in the word "new" included in your question. New markets, new places and new endeavours call for some degree of flexibility in exchange for challenge.

You build bigger thigh muscles by climbing up stairs more often. if you're up there, the only way to build muscles is to go "down there" once again and once in a while, before jumping up the stairs again! The bigger the thigh-muscles become, overtime, the faster the sprint-speed back to the top becomes!

If I were to become a high-manager or a CEO of ANY company one day, I would devote1-4 days a month to work hand-in-hand with my staff at a different work-floor each time. That would be my "office sport" & my knowledge of my company & staff will be unbeatable! (a small wandering off topic)

If in the same company, it will be difficult due to the behavior of my colleagues, but if in another company it won't be a problem if an only if the company has the ability to fulfill my needs in development and there is a growing potential. I look at it as a challenge and expect the counter party (company) to accept the challenge.

Yes, I would accept the job. However, this MUST not stop me from soul searching as to why I could not get a  better offer. This would be a chance to examine myself critically for knowing my deficiencies and ways to improve upon. I think that there might be a very strong possibility that I have over rated myself and did not try to be in line with market requirements.

I actually compare work to car. So any car even if slower is better than no car. As long as your in the track and racing you will be noticed again and will reach the finish line.

On the career level, what would the candidate benefit of sitting at home and waiting for the right opportunity. He will be losing money, under stress, low morals. While staying in the work environment will keep him fresh and ready for any better opportunity.

ABSOLUTELY YES............. I think it will be a WISE decision in such scenario you mentioned under the question.

I believe, one should not put himself/herself  in a DESPERATE situation....... Once you feel, shortly there will be a time to accept any level job, just accept the lower position job.............

I am sure it will be an easy task for talented people to reprove themselves and to retest their skills on a junior position...........

As far as the Salary matter is concerned, it is better to get SOMETHING to pay the rents instead of getting "nothing"

I will accept the offer even though it is below my leadership abilities, experience etc. because by waiting few years for a job may already have diluted my ability sitting idle without job and by accepting and increasing the business with my abilities and experience I can prove and get promoted to the position I expect. There is nothing impossible if you have the WILL and TRUST in yourself and your ability.

Never mind give it a start again and work for an opportunity that best befits your caliber.
