If we put this in to simple words,

Warehouse will be outside the industry,May be distribution channel or in another city to help customers to get products delivered fast.

Stores is inhouse facility to help manufactuing activities,Such as incoming and in some case outgoing also stored in stores.

Stores always indicates the place of Raw material storing. Warehouse is for the Finished Goods at times can also be interpritted input of finished goods.

store is small in size and warehouse is biger mostly electronics copm. use store and automobile comp. use waerhouse activity is same of both the area

Store - Storage location where all the materials are stored and Inventory takes place on qty basis.mainly the physical inventory.

Store as part of Materials Management, can only provide information on the total quantity of material in stock,

Warehouse Management enables a precise specification of the exact location of a particular quantity of material

and informs you whether this quantity is currently in a storage bin or on the move.

A store or warehouse, is a building or room where materials ( Usually called inventory) are kept. Store keeping involves the proper receipt, safe custody, preservation and issue of the materials to various users or customers and also the physical and financial accounting of the stocks kept in the store. The two words "Store" and "Warehouse" are used synonymously in India while in the west the word "Warehouse" is preferred and the word "Storehouse" is used rather than "Store"

Ware house :

1. Larger area than stores - even some stores may found larger but it depends on type of items.

2.Independent facility , mainly a hanger or building separated from being part of full service roles, cause warehouse do not work in services of retail or single requests, warehouse works on bulk quantities of distribution, it may have distribution channel too.

3.Distribution by bulk , not by retail , not serving single requests.

4. Large amount of quantity of materials whatever the type is.

5. Stock replenishment comes by planning of purchasing or stock planners for periodical goals.

6.Keeps the returned non moving items and returned valued scarps for future solutions.

7. Can be supported with some re-staging areas , fixing work shops , assembly areas, weigh bridge stations.

Store:

1. Smaller than warehouse.

2.Part of complete business process cycle facility works to complete service of reselling or delivery services.

3.Reselling or delivering by single requests for retailers or requester.

4.Less amount of quantities , mainly store makes replenishment orders to warehouse if available.

5.Stock replenishment tentative continued on daily or short periods rates. to avoid running out of stock.

6. Doesn't keep non moving items or valued scraps. sending them mainly to ware house if available or taking direct solution to avoid getting them stored with no meaning.

A Warehouse is a point in the logistics process where a firm stores or holds raw / finished materials and goods for varying periods of time. Holding goods in a Warehouse adds cost to the product.A warehouse is usually a huge building having Area more than (500 sqm) in which goods, raw materials, or commodities are stored. People do not usually shop at a warehouse. It can be in city or in industrial area or out of city.

A Store on the other hand less than (500 Sqm), is a place where merchandise is offered for retail sale to end customers. Nowadays concept is changed many companies have combination of warehouse and stores such as Home Depot, landmarks and Superstore. They are called 'Big Box' stores. They at the same time stores and display a product for sale to there customers.
