Is it ethical for some companies not to send any reply to a candidate after a job interview?

No.

 

I think feedback would be nice just to let the applicant know what he/she did or didn't do well during the interview. Feedback is good because it gives the applicant a chance to work on his/her resume. If there is nothing wrong, then at least the applicant knows she/he was qualified but just didn't get the position.

No , It is not ethical to keep the candidate not informed after a job interview ,.This can frustrate the candidate after negligence that shows that no one is interrested of him . A polite answer explaining the reasons of decline is more appreciated    Somewhat companies prefer not to answer to not vex the candidate . Here each agency follows its policies

It is not ethical and professional. If any candidates attend an interview, employer needs to provide feedback to the candidate about interview status whether he or she is selected or not.
