Dear Roba, = I think what my colleague Noor Ali said is correct, this way will add a value to our speed reading practice.
Most of us use this procedure to get their required knowledge and advance their-selves in best way.
= I found that the best ways to improve this skill in our mind is to make our choice in: - reading topics within our mainly concern, i.e., in our specialty, work-related material or topics in our interest.
What you prefer is what you act effectively and learn it easily.
- Choose easy material to start with, which I can understand and enjoy with a quick once-over.
Then, when I got mastered with, I use a challenging textbook.
- Do all my best to concentrate on the reading staff material.
Stop multitasking while reading, and remove any distractions.
- Stop reading (pronouncing the words) to myself.
This will slow me down in purposed reading, and lose my concentration to connect the writing lines with each other.
When Ito myself.
In the past, I usually have this habit, but I neglect it from a long time.
I guess almost everybody does it but in different degrees; i.e.; move their lips, say the words under the breath, or simply say each word in their heads.
TRY TO AVOID IT AND BE CONSCIOUS WHILE READING.

Before reading make sure you know what you're looking for, such as key words - for instance if it's a business piece about the internet I might look for - internet, wireless, connecting, connection etc and other words that relate to what I need to know.
Therefore I can skim and still understand what the piece is talking about.

There is always that way of reading, called "skimming".
It means you read the words of interest between the lines.
Do not waste your time by reading the whole paragraph, only pass through lines with less effort.
From the header of a paragraph you can decide which to go on with reading or pass to the next.
CTRL+F added a lot to skimming method of reading, by pointing out the words of your interest.
