<p>Hi is Somebody can help me with a suggestion for fire fighting for transformer of400 to500 KV which is planned to use as a testing power sources of our facility inside a production line which consist of All paint shop, welding shop, Cutting and more </p> <p> </p> <p>i have suggested to have a confined enclosure with a gas flooding system but in my management they are planning for Dry chemical powder flooding system which will be a better performance</p>
In My Opinion and Practice, I prefer clean agent such as NOVEC-1230 gas
3 reasons for using Gas Flooding particularly NOVEC1230 are
first and foremost it is non toxic, eco friendly
it has low discharge time and more reliable flooding compare to powder
it leave the space clean after extinguishing fire unlike powder flooding
Perhaps I will go with Powder Flooding in case
Transformer area is not enclosed and cannot be made as air tight
I don't require any green certificate for building
budget is constrain
