The United States should reevaluate their strategies to focus on addressing the sweeping changes taking place across the Middle East. Focus "adjustment" strategic approach to crises in the near term and that are most salient for American interests, they should make the political reform in the region a priority and that address long-term trends while working to mitigate risks.The acute crisis in the Middle East today threatenus interests. But if the United States is responding to the long flexible strategy and cunning diplomat, it has over time become less vulnerable to the threats in the region significantly.

This report explores the interaction and overlapping of American interests in the Middle East, and explores how changes in the strategic context in the region and the accompanying effects on u.s. interests. The report concludes by providing a framework to guide the process of designing and making us policy. This framework identifies priorities, focusing on threats in the near term as well as long-term trends, to help decision makers Americans to serve the interests of the nation and make it move forward.
