• Curriculum development must be considered as an integral role of a faculty member.

• Each academic department has to set up a curriculum committee with Head of Department as its chair and with enough number of members to represent all specialization areas.

• CD will be a non-voting member / permanent nominee of curriculum committee.

• Curriculum related matters such as, initiating a new course or program or revising existing curriculum must be approved by this committee.

• The initiator of such ideas need not be an existing member of the committee but can be co-opted to the committee till the work is completed.

• The curriculum development process starts with the initiator or a team of faculty members submitting ideas in writing to the HOD/curriculum committee of the respective Department. The HOD is expected to call a meeting of the committee within2 weeks, for a preliminary discussion.

• When preparing the intent, the faculty member or team is expected to take guidance from the CDD on issues of formalities of curriculum statement and to get advice on the logical progression of course description, to course objectives to the set of instructional outcomes.

• The committee will deliberate on all aspects including the need for this exercise and choose to either recommend or discard the initiative.

• The appropriate form will be completed (Online) and submitted to curriculum development department.

• CDD grants access to the curriculum minder and make soft copies of the existing curriculum available to the person designated by the committee.

• There will be a time frame prescribed for each type of curriculum work.
