Yes absolutely Brand plays an important role in decision making of customers.we know a branded product is always expensive than the other products of that category but still customers tend to buy those coz that Brand has been registered in customers mind and that is why Brand marketing is important.To me Brand marketing is like creating Belief amongst the customers.If the customer starts believing the Brand and then price and all only next for him

Yes they do especially for new customers, and I'll quote an example from the apparel industry.

 

Eg; A walk-in customer sees that your shirting range has a label that says 'Egyptian cotton' so he knows your product has great quality, and even before he reached for the price tag knows that shirt will be a tad bit expensive. That tag will help justify the price and vouch for superior quality.

 

If the shirt says 'Slim' and you've been looking for slim shirts you'll automatically be tempted to try it on without a sales rep suggested that you should. No product is complete without apt product details.

High Involvement Product plays an important role in decision making. Therefore Brand Name & Product design matters a lots.

What customers look for today is a product that hs the following specifications:

Easy to pronounce its name. For example we say pepsi, coke, nike. Everybody can remember these words.

Friendly user label and design. All necessary info needs to be clear for the customer like date of production and expiry, country of origin, ingredients, cautions...

The products name should easily reflect somehow the product specially in everyday household products. for example when passing in the market you will directly notice the product head and shoulders. it is simple and clear.

The product's design should also attract the customers. All companies can produce shampoos products for example but the customer will be attracted more if it has a different design. Moreover, the product must take into consideration the age of all customers in carrying the product and using it and not just a certain age or target.

Yes labels and the product design, lead to the improvisation of the product consumer environment by standing out of the mass market products.

It goes without saying that labels and product design plays a vital role in changing consumer behavior. However, these are not the only aspects at which consumer behavior depends. These are2 among many other aspects of branding required to make a successful brand. Brand label and product designed is imperative in terms that it acts on the front line to attract customers. If product design and label is not attractive then it would leave the product dusted on the shelf. But if it is attractive it will influence the customer to pick the product. Product label and design behaves as the face of the brand. The first thing we as consumers look for is the face of the brand itself and only if we are happy with the face of the brand then we look further into brand and relatively make our choice. Therefore, it can be safely stated that product label and design is of utmost importance to make the brand work reasonable well.
