Education is like a candle in darkness which brings light. This light shows the correct way to follow. Education is like protection against illiteracy, a sword to fight for success, a power to lead. With birth mind starts working but with time its start thinking and the more we get knowledge through education and experiences its start thinking and thinking for a better present and best future. Now to control our emotions and thinking by a right or wrong way is the will of a person. To follow a positive decision through which an educated person brings not only happiness in his life but also in the life of his family and society. Similarly going through wrong way even with education brings disasters where many of them not ruin his own life but also life of his family; relatives’ even societies are badly affected.
So it’s good to get education and start using our mind to think but how will be the picture of this thinking? it’s not depend on education but it’s a person personal decision that’s why I will say education wake up the mind to run for happiness through straight way where hard work, sincerity, God fearing, respect and learning makes a man human not animal . But to follow a shortcut way with crimes, difficulties, sins and disaster through negative thinking makes a person animal even worse than animal but this is not the crime of education which force him for this thinking but it’s his choice a wrong choice which is not the true lesson of Education.
Absolutely! Learning facts by rote is so "mechanical", but not having the ability to think and question may lead to the evolution of people unable to use their initiative and lacking any decision making abilities.
It's absolutely true. Education is result oriented when the learner is put on a track to sharpen the necessary skills to find the facts independently.
Learning the facts is primitive level which goes through the level of exploring the facts to a level to use the facts in a productive way.
I would like to elaborate the point by a parable:
First level: To learn that WHEAT is a grain.
Second level: To explore the facts about Wheat and analysis.
Top level: To use this knowledge in a purposeful way.
Couldn't agree more, education starts with reading - if you can read, you can learn on your own. Once they teach you where to find the materials to read you can go get them yourself. Education trains the mind to the possibilities, and in the end asks a lot of questions to get you to go and solve them for us all.

In my opinion it includes both of the above factors. Knowledger is the key to education. Training of mind to think is equally important.

There are unlimited facts in our lives that you cannot learn all of it at school nor can you learn a very smal part of it. Education is indeed to train your mind to define which facts do you need in a certain situation, how to look for it and how to use it.
