Every child is born a genius -A. Einstein-. How do you define this for your students or children?

I think there is an entirely different and more simplistic point to be made here! My own humble opinion is that Einstein is "suggesting" that children are blank canvases and is actually saying that all children have the potential to become geniuses but it is dependent on so many different "conditions" as to whether they do or not! The learned gentleman who has given such an expert and indepth "analysis" of the question has identified and outlined a good many of these conditions.

I regard this question as the most critical since I do believe that every child is a genius.  The problem is that we have an expectation that every child should learn in the same way.  This question relates to the notion of inclusive education.  Many of us of have noted that some children do not perform very well in school but tend to flourish in their work environments or post school environments.  The reason for this success often relates to people finding their niche in the world or are able to exploit their intelligences.  All of us are wired differently.  We tend to learn in different ways and this is commonly referred to multiple intelligences.  Imagined if you had forced some of the best soccer players in the world to pursue a career in mathematics. It is very important for teachers and those responsible for education to have a bent towards inclusive education.  We need to look at the possiblities in people rather than focus on their weaknesses.  We need to understand what are the learner's strenghts.  Every teacher, parent or person responsible for rearing young children should always look at the potential in a child rather than weaknesses.  All children can flourish if we believe in what they could do.  Some read slower than others and may learn to read at a later stage.  The same applies to mathematics.  We are all born with remarkable talents.  We need to the support of someone at an early age to identify and exploit that talent.  Everybody needs help and support.  Even Einstein and Bill Gates received support at some stage in their lives. 

Every child absorps information differently and some learn faster than others This does not always mean  that the slower child is of a lesser intelligence Every teacher should be awre that some of their students may need a bit more time than others or need things eplaining in a different way to help them understand

  I think t Einstien was trying  say what that  there is something that we all excell  at it is up to us as teachers and parents to  always help children by focusing on what they are good at and being supportive and having patience when they are strugglng
