For the electronic work bench i would suggest that you should have good knowledge of the electronic component. u should always try to keep the design as simple as possible. the wiring between the component should be as clean as possible. Grounding of component should be done properly. you should make sure that there is no ground loop in the circuit or else the design will just not work.

In order to work on electronic workbench you have to be familiar with the practical components e.g; resistors, power source, wiring etc. The most important thing to be considered in your design is to follow simple designs, the more your design is simpler the better it is because workbench itself is a simple software and your design should reflect that .

1.
It is very important that you familiarized with the actual components you are using in designing a circuit (i.e.: physical dimension and electrical characteristics).2.
Read the datasheet of discrete electronic components you are using.3.
Don't forget to put the ground symbol, otherwise you will get an erroneous result in your simulation.4.
Double check the polarity of electrolytic capacitors when you applied this in circuit and also in actual PCB.5.
Don't rely on Electronic Workbench simulation but built the actual circuit if it is just simple or not complex circuit and compare the actual output result using DMM, Oscilloscope and Frequency Counter.6.
If you are experimenting or designing VHF or UHF RF circuits don't get disappointed, there are software intended for these.
