What is the best way to calculate surface area of intricate parts so for their current density may be calculated??

Normally in electroplating OEM or specifications refer to current density of2-5 amp/dm2. With these normally rectifiers are set with respect to amp load. What is the best utility of these sort of cases.

hi mr faraz.

 could you please be more specific about the parts. 

well i'm an electro plating engineer.

And we simply calculate the surface area in dm2 and multiply with the current density and hence we get the amp required.

Hi, Arjun. I know this basics, but the calculation of surface area of intricate(Complex geometry parts) like attach fittings, clevis etc it is based on estimation of area as exact area can not be calculated manually unless used some LASER guided software supported micrometers or using CNC CMM. But this would be like hunting bee with a gunship. Any how thanks for interest.
